Together, they honor Prince’s deep connection to jazz — a music he grew up with through his musician parents and cherished lifelong, famously listening to Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue every single night for a time.

Originally from South Carolina, he began his musical path in the church before expanding into jazz, funk, and R&B. His unique hybrid approach — blending traditional drumming with masterful finger percussion — has led to collaborations and performances with world-renowned artists including Prince, Chaka Khan, Lee Ritenour, Joe Zawinul, and Mary J. Blige.
