Darryl Jones – The Group Field
– Rolling Stones bassist world premieres his first band at Epicurus

Darryl Jones Takes Center Stage with The Group Field at Epicurus.
After decades on the world’s biggest stages with Miles Davis, Sting, Madonna, and the Rolling Stones, bassist Darryl Jones steps boldly into the spotlight as bandleader of The Group Field. This powerhouse new project showcases Jones’s original compositions alongside daring reinterpretations of music from the iconic artists he has collaborated with.
For this residency at Epicurus, Jones anchors the rhythm section with jazz titan Jeff “Tain” Watts on drums and guitar visionary Jean-Paul Bourelly (Miles Davis), and welcomes a rotating roster of electrifying guests — including fellow Rolling Stones bandmates saxophonist Tim Ries and vocalist Bernard Fowler, trumpeter Wallace Roney Jr., and pianists and keyboardists Robert Irving III (Miles Davis), Niels Lan Doky, and James Francies (The Roots) — further expanding the group’s dynamic sound. Jones also reveals a compelling new dimension to his artistry, stepping to the microphone on select songs throughout the run.
