This festive residency brings a fresh and soulful new sound to the holiday season, as acclaimed pianist Niels Lan Doky joins forces with vocalist Junior Scaife for an evening of jazz-inspired Christmas music. Together with Doky’s outstanding trio — Tobias Dall on bass and Nikolaj Dall on drums — they reimagine beloved seasonal songs with warmth, elegance, groove, and spontaneity.
Following his spectacular January/February residency, Junior Scaife returns with a powerful voice that has drawn comparisons to legends such as Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway. His expressive delivery and magnetic stage presence bring new emotional depth to both modern holiday songs and timeless classics.
The repertoire spans contemporary holiday favorites by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Ariana Grande, Leona Lewis, Cher, Norah Jones, Justin Bieber, and Stevie Wonder, alongside timeless classics associated with Donny Hathaway, Brenda Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nat King Cole.

Raised in the gospel traditions of the American South, his early years directing choirs and mastering multiple instruments laid the foundation for a career steeped in musical depth and integrity.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Junior has performed with legends including Berry Gordy, Harry Belafonte, Terri Lyne Carrington, Nona Hendryx, and Debbie Sledge. As the founder of DJ & the Yams and a solo artist with Daptone’s Penrose Records, he channels gospel roots, funk grit, and pure soul energy into every performance.
Beyond the stage, Junior is a devoted educator and cultural voice — teaching across the world and inspiring new generations through music and mentorship. At Epicurus, he brings his band and his heart to Copenhagen for a residency that celebrates the soul of America and the power of love.
