Shelby J., a gifted and charismatic vocalist, is best known for her tenure with Prince’s New Power Generation (NPG) from 2006 to 2014, where she contributed to several of Prince’s albums, including Planet Earth, 20Ten, and LotusFlow3r. In addition to her work with Prince, Shelby J. was also a vital member of D’Angelo’s band, The Soultronics, during the 2000 Voodoo Tour, becoming the sole female member of the groundbreaking group. Her versatile vocal range has made her an icon in the worlds of RnB, funk, and soul.

In her solo career, Shelby J. has continued to forge her own path, releasing the critically acclaimed album 10 in 2017. Her performances are electrifying, blending her classical training with contemporary interpretations of soul, funk, and pop music. Collaborating with an all-star ensemble featuring Ken Linh Doky on piano, Felix Pastorius on bass, and Jacob Hatholt on drums, Shelby J. will bring her remarkable artistry to Epicurus in an intimate, electrifying setting.
