AUGUST 30 – SEPTEMBER 6, 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that bass virtuoso Felix Pastorius is rapidly becoming a cornerstone of Epicurus, with more appearances scheduled than any other bassist we work with. When an artist of Felix’s caliber expresses a genuine desire to join our creative movement, we can’t help but celebrate. Having already been scheduled alongside Harvey Mason, Sir Niels Lan Doky, Gary Husband, David “Fingers” Haynes, and Shelby J, it’s now time to spotlight Felix as a bandleader in his own right, giving him complete creative freedom to shape his musical vision.

Felix Pastorius
– A virtuoso at the forefront of modern jazz

Born in 1982, Felix Pastorius is an extraordinary musician, renowned for his versatility and innovative approach to the bass. From his early days performing with his twin brother Julius to his acclaimed work with groups like the Yellowjackets, Cindy Blackman Santana, Jeff Coffin, Bill Evans, and the Modern Standards Supergroup, Felix has consistently demonstrated technical brilliance and a captivating style. As the son of the legendary Jaco Pastorius—one of the most influential bassists of all time—Felix carries a formidable legacy. Yet, he has forged his own path with elegance and individuality, only occasionally weaving subtle tributes to his father’s musical vocabulary into his performances. His artistry is always tasteful, inventive, and uniquely his own.

With Felix Pastorius at the helm, the future of bass playing is in inspired hands. We’re eagerly anticipating the new music he’s preparing for us.

Join us for five unforgettable nights as Felix leads a remarkable ensemble of European talent: the phenomenal Polish saxophonist Marta Wajdzik, a favorite at Epicurus; the distinguished Danish drummer Jonas Johansen, veteran of the Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen Trio and the Danish Radio Big Band, and a collaborator with artists like Eliane Elias and McCoy Tyner; and on piano, the rising Danish star Rasmus Sørensen for the first two nights, followed by the acclaimed Sir Niels Lan Doky for the remaining three. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience Felix Pastorius as a leader, surrounded by some of Europe’s most exciting jazz artists!
